Our excursion to TRAIL AYMARA begins with pickup from your hotel in Puno and head to visit the following places:

CHUCUITO:

City Chucuito is located 18 km a 20 minutes south of the city of Puno on the road link to Bolivia; this town is known as the city of the royal treasury for here the tax is charged on the colonial period, since these taxes came from the famous silver mines Laykakota, Puno – Peru. Also visit the famous temple of fertility called “Inca and u” was formerly called Temple of the Sun (Inca).

ARAMU MURO:

Also known as Wilca Uta, located 75 km trip of 01:20 hours by road from Puno area called altarani-Juli, on the road connecting with Bolivia. Amaru is a rock wall where a door is carved in low relief, the legend says that Aramu wall (god in pre Inca) have disappeared in this carved in stone (jayu marka = city of spirits) taking a sun door of Lemurias not be stolen by the conquerors.

JULI:

Located 79 km from the city of Puno 01:30 trip by road. The town of Juli is also known as Little Rome of America, here the first missionaries (Dominicans) in 1539 as Juli was part of the kingdom of Lupacas, where they established doctrines to evangelize the people building churches such as Rome in Italy . Juli currently has 4 churches with similar names in Rome (Italy) and San Pedro, Santa Cruz, Our Lady of the Assumption and St. John Lateran for the story that each church had its own. Juli’s churches have their windows made in alabaster stone, as this type of stone catches the light.

POMATA:

Pomata located 105 km trip by road 02.00, founded by the Spanish in 1534, now known as Altiplano philosophical balcony from where you have a spectacular view of Lake Titicaca. In 1540 the Santa Barbara Chapel stands at the foot of Calvary Hill in 1576 and the colonial church of St. James Baroque built brownstones in the area, inside there are catacombs where the remains of the bishops of the plateau. Early settlers called the area Puma uta which the Spaniards call later Pomata. Then a return trip (02:00 to Puno).
