ITENERARY:

Begin an unforgettable trip through fantastic landscapes 12,000 km² of salt and surealistas landscapes of deserts and colored lagoons Reserve Eduardo Abaroa. The dazzling white mantle of the Salar de Uyuni resembles an immense glacier.

DAY 1:

Today we will have an unforgettable journey through fantastic scenery of 12,000 km² of salt. In winter (dry season from May to October), when the surface is hardened, almost geometric figures formed by the salt particles agglomerated into polygons appear. In summer (rainy season from November to February) the salt desert is transformed into a giant mirror that blends the purest sky of America.

DAY 2:

Today we know the Fish Island (where we will have a picnic lunch), before heading to the Bay of Mala Mala, at the opposite end of the Salar, to go to Galaxy Cave, a place where we can see ancient tombs and petrified cactus. Today we know the Fish Island (where we will have a picnic lunch), before heading to the Bay of Mala Mala, at the opposite end of the Salar, to go to Galaxy Cave, a place where we can see ancient tombs and petrified cactus.

We will enter in desert sand and pebble surfaces of enormous extent, no roads, almost aimlessly. These deserts are great masters of the whole palette of terracotta. Red, orange, ocher, bronze, brown and beige happen in every curve of the road, fighting the traveler’s attention. Faced with this color palette we have raised the Desert Hotel, with private bathrooms, hot water and space heating.

DAY 3:

At dawn we leave in search of known geysers Sol de Mañana, we arrive at them with the first rays of light. This is the highest point of the route; near 5000 m The cold is intense. Noisy fumaroles and boiling pools where the land appears red, gray and scarlet pimples may be traversed by us in their own shores.

Moving away another great extension will open our front: the Valley of the Ladies Desert Wind masterpiece and Andean peaks with perfect details in shapes and colors of rocks that have stood the wind. And almost as excessive as, to leave this desert valley, know the Laguna Verde, at the foot of the volcano Lincancabur.

We say goodbye to the past llamas and vicuñas, which have accompanied us on the tour from the beginning and will continue to seek suri or Andean ostrich, which can not always be spotted.
